Short answer: no. Here is exactly what works offline and what needs internet.
Do you need Wi-Fi for a photo booth?
No — most photo booth features work without Wi-Fi. Printing, photo capture, and custom templates all work offline. Wi-Fi is only needed for instant digital sharing via text or email and for AI photo booth transformations. Our attendant brings a mobile hotspot as backup.
Does the AI photo booth need internet?
Yes — AI transformations require an internet connection to process images through our AI engine. Without Wi-Fi, the AI booth can still capture standard photos, but the AI effects will not be available until connectivity is restored.
What about the 360 video booth?
The 360 booth needs Wi-Fi for instant video delivery via text or email. The actual video recording and slow-motion processing happen locally on the device. Without Wi-Fi, videos are saved and delivered digitally after the event.
Can you set up your own Wi-Fi?
Yes — our attendants carry mobile hotspots to every event as standard practice. If the venue has unreliable or no Wi-Fi, our hotspot handles digital sharing and AI processing without any issue.
What if my venue has weak Wi-Fi?
We test connectivity during setup and switch to our mobile hotspot if the venue Wi-Fi is slow or unreliable. Guests will not notice any difference. We plan for weak Wi-Fi at every event so it is never a problem.
