The Ebell of Los Angeles is a National Historic Landmark in Hancock Park, built in 1927 and designated an Official American Treasure. Its 1,200-seat theater, courtyard garden, Art Salon, and two elegant ballrooms have hosted everything from red-carpet galas to intimate weddings.

Founded in 1894 and housed in its stunning 1927 Clubhouse and Wilshire Ebell Theatre — both designated an Official American Treasure — The Ebell of Los Angeles is one of the most storied event venues in Southern California. The complex spans an entire city block in Hancock Park and offers multiple distinct spaces for events of all sizes and styles.

The Wilshire Ebell Theatre is a 1,200-seat Broadway-style theater ideal for performances, galas, and award shows. For receptions and seated dinners, the Ann Hoover Brown and Phyllis Sherwood Saari Salons provide elegant ballroom spaces accommodating 50 to 300 guests. The Tree Salon opens to a charming outdoor Courtyard Garden — a beloved spot for al fresco cocktail receptions and intimate ceremonies under string lights.

The Ebell's architecture is pure Old Hollywood — arched doorways, vaulted ceilings, warm wood paneling, and manicured grounds that look extraordinary in photographs. Executive Chef Louis Pechan leads in-house catering, delivering menus tailored to each event.
