Oak Photo Booth Rental Los Angeles: Complete Guide

Oak Photo Booth Rental Los Angeles: Complete Guide, Captured Celebrations photo booth blog, Los Angeles

Quick Answer

Captured Celebrations rents the Oak Photo Booth across Los Angeles County from $850 for 3 hours. It is a solid oak frame on a wooden tripod with a 19-inch vertical touchscreen, a Canon EOS R100 24.1MP mirrorless camera and a dye-sublimation printer, and it captures photos, GIFs and boomerangs. It replaced our retro mirror photo booth, which is retired.

A note before anything else, because people still search for it. We used to rent a retro mirror photo booth. We do not anymore. The Oak Booth took its place, and this guide is about that.

What the Oak Photo Booth Is

A solid oak frame, standing freestanding on a wooden tripod, built to look like an old plate camera. A 19-inch vertical touchscreen sits on the back. Inside is a Canon EOS R100 24.1MP mirrorless camera and a DNP DS620A dye-sublimation printer.

It captures photos, GIFs and boomerangs. Guests get the files on their phones at the booth, and every file lands in an online gallery after the event.

It weighs about 32 pounds and sets up in roughly a minute.

Why It Works at LA Events

The thing most photo booths get wrong at a nice venue is that they look like rentals. A big lit box with a logo on it sits in the corner of a beautiful room and drags the whole look down.

The oak and the tripod read as furniture. That is the entire design decision, and it is why the booth ends up in the wedding photos instead of being cropped out of them.

It sits comfortably against velvet drapes, greenery, and clean branded backdrops.

Packages and What They Cost

PackagePriceDurationPrints
Oak Silver Experience$8503 hoursDigital only
Oak Gold Experience$1,1003 hoursInstant 2x6 or 4x6
Oak Signature Experience$1,3504 hoursInstant 2x6 or 4x6, plus a premium design package

Additional hours are $150 per hour.

Oak Silver does not print. If you want guests holding something at the end of the night, start at Oak Gold. Prints are one per person per session, so three guests in a photo means three prints.

Oak Booth or Open Air Booth

Both are good. They are good at different things.

If your guest list is large and people will pile in six at a time, the Open Air Booth is the better tool. If the room is beautiful and you want the booth to belong in it, that is the Oak Booth.

Space, Power and Setup

Plan for about a 5 by 5 foot footprint, plus room for guests to stand back from the camera. You need one standard power outlet within reach.

That small footprint is worth knowing if your venue has a fixed floor plan or you are working a cocktail hour into a room that is already full. It fits places a larger booth cannot.

Our team arrives ahead of your start time, sets up, tests everything, and breaks it down at the end.

Customizing It for Your Event

Send us your colors, your fonts, and any names, dates or logos you want to appear. We design the start screen and the print layout to match, and you approve the design before the event.

For corporate events and brand activations, the same applies to your logo and campaign artwork. It shows on screen and on every print that leaves the booth.

Which Events Book It Most

Weddings. People dress up, the room is styled, and the booth needs to sit inside that rather than fight it.

Quinceañeras. High volume, lots of group shots, and a court that all wants photos together. Our attendant works in English and Spanish.

Corporate events and galas. Branded start screen, branded prints, and a booth that matches a black tie room.

Questions We Get

Is this a mirror booth? No. The mirror booth is retired. This is a wood frame on a tripod with a touchscreen on the back. If a mirror booth is specifically what you want, tell us what you liked about it and we will give you a straight answer about whether this gets you there.

Does everyone get a print? On Oak Gold and Oak Signature, yes, one per person per session. Oak Silver is digital only.

Can we get GIFs and boomerangs? Yes, on every package, alongside the still photos.

Do you cover all of Los Angeles County? Yes. Most of LA County carries no travel fee, and if your venue falls outside that, the fee is in your quote before you book.

How far ahead should we book? Weekend dates from May through October go first. Earlier is better, though it is always worth asking about a date you think is too soon.
