A vintage photo booth rental is a photo booth styled to look and print like a mid-century booth, using a period-styled frame, era-specific backdrops and props, and classic 2x6 photo strips, while the camera, printer and delivery are modern. It is not the same thing as a restored antique machine that shoots film. Captured Celebrations rents vintage-styled setups across Los Angeles County from $850 for a 3-hour staffed event, using our solid oak booth with a Canon EOS R100 24.1MP mirrorless camera and a DNP DS620A dye-sublimation printer.
One thing we say upfront: this is a vintage-styled booth, not a restored antique machine. There is no film and no chemical developing. The nostalgia comes from the solid oak frame, the era-specific templates, the props, and the classic strip format. The camera, the printer, and the digital delivery are all modern, which is why prints land in your guests’ hands in seconds and the booth does not break down halfway through the reception.
Why do couples in Los Angeles book a vintage photo booth?
Couples book a vintage photo booth because nothing else creates the feeling of stepping into another era, and because the classic 2x6 strip is a keepsake guests actually keep. The narrow strip of photos. The booth itself as a piece of the décor. It is the most requested look for Old Hollywood, Great Gatsby and garden-themed weddings.
We are Captured Celebrations, a Latino-owned, woman-owned photo booth company based in La Crescenta with 94 five-star Google reviews and 500+ events served. Our vintage setups pair the classic aesthetic with modern reliability: mirrorless image quality, prints in seconds, instant digital sharing, and a dedicated attendant who keeps the line moving all night.

We match the era with three things: the backdrop, the props, and the print template. All three are included in every package, and the booth itself stays the same at every event. Tell us the decade you are going for and we design around it. These are the five era treatments we build most often.
| Theme | How we style it |
|---|---|
| Roaring Twenties and Gatsby | Gold art deco backdrop, feather boas and pearls, sepia templates with deco borders |
| Old Hollywood | Velvet curtain backdrop, black and white processing, dramatic key lighting |
| Mid-Century Modern | Clean lines, retro typography, muted palettes, vintage signage as props |
| Garden and Estate Weddings | Warm wood tones, floral templates, parasols and lace props |
| Masquerade and Speakeasy | Ornate backdrop, jewel-toned props, low warm light with a spotlight on the booth |
Which backdrop works best for a vintage theme?
Velvet curtain is the best backdrop for most vintage themes, and it is the fastest way to read Old Hollywood or Gatsby in a photo. The backdrop is the largest visual element in every shot, so it does most of the work of placing your guests in another decade. These are the four we recommend most.
Velvet curtain
Deep burgundy, emerald, or midnight blue velvet. The most requested backdrop for Gatsby themes and formal weddings, and the fastest way to read Old Hollywood in a photo.
Flower wall
Muted dusty rose, ivory, and sage tones. The combination of soft florals against the solid oak frame photographs beautifully at garden and estate venues.
Sequin or shimmer wall
Gold or champagne sequins catch the light and add movement, which suits New Year celebrations, anniversaries, and any event where glamour is the point.
Custom printed backdrop
For a specific era or logo. Past designs include vintage travel posters, old movie marquees, classic car imagery, and botanical illustrations.

How to book a vintage photo booth in Los Angeles
Booking a vintage photo booth in Los Angeles takes eight steps, from checking your date to prints in your guests’ hands. Most clients are booked in a single phone call.
Check your date
Call 747-895-4473, email info@capturedcelebrations.com, or book online at captured-celebrations.checkcherry.com. Book 3 to 6 months ahead for a Saturday wedding between May and October, and 2 to 4 weeks for a weekday event.
Pick your package
Oak Silver is $850 for 3 hours and is digital only. Oak Gold is $1,100 for 3 hours and adds instant 2x6 or 4x6 prints. Oak Signature is $1,350 for 4 hours. Additional hours are $150 per hour on any package.
Choose your era
Tell us the decade you are going for: Roaring Twenties and Gatsby, Old Hollywood, mid-century modern, garden and estate, or masquerade and speakeasy. We select the backdrop and props to match.
Approve your print template
We design a custom print template with art deco borders, film-grain textures, sepia or classic black and white processing, and era-specific typography. Proofs are sent before your event. Spanish and bilingual templates are available.
Reserve the date with a $200 retainer
Sign the contract and pay the $200 non-refundable retainer to hold your date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and we can add your venue as additional insured at no extra cost.
Confirm space and power with your venue
Plan for roughly 8 feet by 8 feet to cover the booth, the backdrop, and room for guests to pose. The booth needs one standard 110V 20-amp outlet within 25 feet. Outdoor setups are fine on a flat, level surface.
We set up before guests arrive
Our team arrives 60 to 90 minutes before your rental window starts. The Oak Photo Booth weighs about 32 lbs, stands freestanding on a wooden tripod, and sets up in about a minute. A bilingual attendant stays for the full event.
Guests shoot, print and share
Guests pose for the Canon EOS R100 24.1MP mirrorless camera and the DNP DS620A printer delivers a 2x6 or 4x6 in seconds on print packages, 1 print per person per session. Every file is also delivered by text, email or QR code and lands in an online gallery after the event.

Vintage Photo Booth FAQs
How much does a vintage photo booth rental cost in Los Angeles?
Vintage-style photo booth rentals in Los Angeles start at $850 for a 3-hour staffed event with our Oak Photo Booth on the Oak Silver package, which is digital only. Oak Gold ($1,100) adds classic 2x6 prints, 1 print per person per session, and Oak Signature ($1,350, 4 hours) includes 4x6 prints and enhanced lighting. Additional hours are $150 per hour. Every package includes a professional bilingual attendant, custom template design, and digital gallery delivery.
Is this a real antique photo booth?
No. Our booths capture the classic look with traditional photo strips and black & white processing, delivered by a modern Canon EOS R100 mirrorless camera, instant printing, and digital sharing built in. You get the nostalgia of an old-school booth without the maintenance problems, slow chemical processing, or single-pose limitations of a true antique machine. Guests get their prints in seconds and digital copies by text.
What events suit a vintage photo booth best?
Vintage photo booths are most requested for weddings (especially Old Hollywood, Great Gatsby, and garden themes), quinceañeras, milestone anniversaries, and corporate galas at historic venues. The solid oak frame photographs beautifully as part of the event décor, and classic photo strips make keepsakes guests actually save. We serve all of Los Angeles County, from historic venues in Pasadena to beach weddings in Malibu.
Can you match the photo strips to our vintage theme?
Yes. Every rental includes a custom-designed print template. For vintage themes we offer art deco borders, film-grain textures, sepia tones, classic black & white, and era-specific typography (20s Gatsby, 50s diner, 70s retro). We send template proofs before your event so you can approve the design in advance. Spanish and bilingual templates available.
How much space does the booth need?
Plan for roughly 8 feet by 8 feet, which covers the booth, the backdrop, and room for guests to pose. The Oak Photo Booth sets up in about a minute and needs one standard power outlet within reach. We handle delivery, setup, and breakdown, and we arrive early enough that everything is running before your first guest walks in.
Do you serve areas outside Los Angeles?
We serve all of Los Angeles County with no travel fee, plus Orange County, Ventura County, and the Inland Empire. Our vintage-styled setups are available in Pasadena, Long Beach, Glendale, Burbank, the San Fernando Valley, and everywhere in between. Locations beyond 35 miles from La Crescenta may have a small travel fee, always disclosed upfront in your quote.
